the zoo - after hours

During the summer, our zoo stays open after hours once a month for members only. It is a great opportunity to see a little more action.
This is a Mexican wolf pup at the entrance of the den it was born in. There are six pups, about 8 weeks old now, and they are too big to all fit in there, so mom moved them to a place out of sight. It was a thrill to see one checking out the old digs.
I am still challenging myself to get the correct exposure and composition in the camera, so this is untouched.
