I was almost...

...up this road on Tuesday on the morning run. But I talked myself out of it...it’s a bit of a climb, and I turned back. Getting out the door on Tuesday morning had been a bit of an effort in the first place and my internal voice couldn’t reconcile that struggle with them going above and beyond.

Decided I’d go for it today and was rewarded with views across to the Ochils, Fife and Lothian. Surprisingly though it didn’t add a lot of distance in to the overall mix. I was and am surprised by that.

Regardless, introduced more elevation into the morning run so that has to count for something.

Earlier in the run I was afforded views across to Ben Ledi, Ben Lomond, Ben Vorlich and Stùc a’ Chroin. I also had sight of Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument and I ran by King Robert the Bruce on his horse and under the Saltire at the Bannockburn Heritage Centre.

Feeling grateful for the views and sights around my home town...we are blessed.
