A pensive look

We were in France by 9a.m. this morning, having had an easy journey through the Eurotunnel.

Our first proper stop - apart from coffee and pastries, and later a picnic, at the A26 airies, was the beautiful town of Chalon-en-Champagne . This statue was in a lovely park called Le Jard, which was bordered the Canal de Marne.

My extras were taken in the mediaeval district by the cathedral and the Chateau du Marche in the park.
