Gamblers Caves

I’m not sure where the name came from, but this area over the hills is known as Gamblers Caves, which I love.
Nina had never walked over that way before so we had a big adventure up there this afternoon. We navigated a couple of narrow squeeze gates, a field of cows and did a lot of upping and downing as we walked.

Edit: Google tells me the following as a description of Gamblers Caves...
''Small cave complex remaining from open-cast quarrying in the 18-1900's. Used at one time as a hideaway by early criminals and is associated with witchcraft and illegal gambling. Care needs to be taken as the caves can be unstable.''
