Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh

Glorious weather, huge crowds, great food, lots of things to do and see. What a show.

Sadly it has become ridiculously expensive. £10 to park your car in a field 1/2 a mile from the entrance. If there are four of you that'll be another £116 just to get in!  And that's all before you get your wallet out to buy anything - there are no bargains to be had, everything is expensive. Still if you just go to see the animals, parades, demonstrations, music etc. that's all free.

Great day out, but I'll give it a miss for a few years. Way too expensive for what there is. I have little doubt next years car park charge will be £12. For an agricultural show the 'cash cow' should win a prize for being over milked.
