Sand Art

From Monday 4th June, top artists from Japan, Mexico, Russia and the United States created the finest works of sand art at the World Championship Sand Sculptures at Lange Voorhout in The Hague. On Wednesday 13th June, the professional jury announced the world champion (Scotland won!) and now the sand sculptures can be admired free of charge until 19th August and are spectacularly lit at night.

This one was created by the artist from Japan and it was my favourite of them all - it's so intricate and to think it's all just made from sand and water.  I missed a few blips this week so I'm going to be cheeky and back-fill them with some of the other artworks.
