Memories are made of these

My dad asked me at the weekend if I had an old photo of him playing cricket - I knew straight away which one he meant and I had indeed stashed it away with loads of other old photos of the family which I love browsing through.

He is really poorly at the moment, so it was nice to hear him chatting away about something other than ailments. It was taken in Shipley in the 1950s - he worked for Metal Box in Speke, and they were playing a Metal Box team from Shipley apparently. My dad is the one sitting on the roller at the front of the pic!
