Creatively Occupied

It was lovely to see Michelle looking so well at the ceramics show `Earth and Fire’ at The Harley Gallery, Welbeck today (it’s on for one more day, so still chance to catch it if you are in the area.  There was so much wonderful stuff on show and it must have been hard for some ceramicists  to catch the attention of passing customers.  It didn’t feel like quite the right time to be buying for us.  We’re running out of display space plus we have quite a bit of hand made pottery that we use on a daily basis.  In the end I had a new mug from Michelle and Ann had a new small bowl to match the breakfast bowls we use.  I really like the feel of Michell’s mugs - they are so nice to drink from (and each one is a little different).  Ann also chose a couple of small `saki’ sized drinking cups from Richard St. John Heeley and I’m rather regretting not choosing one of the sculptural pieces from Christie Keeney.

Oh and we also bought food in the Farm shop so we should be OK for the weekend.
