Little poser

As rain was in the forecast for today, we headed to the end of Crummock water where we felt the woods at Lanthwaite would offer us protection from the rain. On parking the car, the rain stopped, and we had a lovely day. Even had some calm water on the Lake (extra). 

By the dam, there were a couple of workmen fixing new devices to the weir to allow the elvers to make their way up the water and into the lake. Visually hardly attractive, but they help nature.

One of the workmen's dog was both very well behaved (no splashing in the water) and a real poser. He happily sat on the stone at the end of the weir and posed for photos.
