Ministerial cake cutting

The extra shows Maree Todd MSP. The Minister for Childcare and Early Years in the Scottish Governmentcutting the cake to mark our organisation’s 5th birthday this weekend.

It was great to have her with us for our weekend session with Area Conveners, our volunteers managers, from across the country. She spent the morning with us and several wonderful care experienced young people who brought their experiences to bear on our discussions about Better Hearings. This is an improvement programme testing out how we all might do better and it was good to prioritise our activities influenced by their views.

In the afternoon we had Fiona from the independent care review explaining their journey to day and which 6 deep-dive areas they are now going to examine over the next year or so lots of opportunities for dialogue in the months ahead.

The main blip in s of the chandelier which hangs 5+ stories high. It caught the late afternoon sun and later at night was illuminated. Very dramatic.
