Pinched poached

An amusing incident while visiting my brother at his cafe. It is a new venture and over recent visits we have offered advice about the poaching of the eggs.
This afternoon it was a quick visit to deliver his birthday present and a cuppa and carrot cake. Simultaneously with spotting us he received an order for poached eggs on toast which he delivered to our table. Although we had not ordered it I thought he was showing off his improved technique so we tucked in. A few minutes later the couple at the next table enquiries of three waiter why their poached eggs were taking so long. Realisation came and red faced all round. They saw the funny side.
