Day 2.

Before leaving Kendal we bought some provisions from the local Booths which is part of a small independent supermarket chain and is a delight to shop in.

The drive to Kinloch Rannoch was just a short 4½ hour journey and is a stunning destination. Our accommodation has fantastic views across Loch Rannoch.

Having arrived we drove into Pitlochry for more provisions and a walk around. The photo is looking along Loch Faskally where we stopped to feed the ducks.

It is an honour to be able to sit and watch the sun setting on a mountain on the opposite side of the loch.
