beauty snake

Slow start. Eventually we decided to go to the zoo. It was really nice. As always we see different things. Our standard favourites were out as always, the lemurs, meerkats and the penguins. Somehow it ended up quite a snaky day, we got to handle a snake and the beauty snake that is usually just curled up in corner was very active. Loved watching it move along a branch: its body was waving along the branch we loops on either side to balance. The otters were in hiding today and we didn't make it to the squirrel monkeys.

The veggie box brought artichokes which we enjoyed tonight.
