Emergency

As in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), whose annual conference and training I'm covering this weekend. The pic is from the opening ceremony.

Today was classroom sessions. Some very interesting topics from what to do before a patient reaches ER to how to deal with cardiac arrest or anaphylactic shock to the multiple uses of duck tape and, of course, how to prepare a 3-course meal without heat or electricity :)  I think I'll enroll in the full program as the skills taught are very practical and could come in handy (esp given the direction of this country under its current leadership...) 

Another full day tomorrow, with a large scale simulation involving about 50 'victims' in full makeup.  Looking forward to that :)

For now, I'm off to bed ahead of a long day...
