Feeding the Waxeyes.
I know this photo is overly noisy - it was taken too early this morning but I am posting it as I am looking for ideas for feeding these little birds.
I have used an old mesh bag that came with fruit in it, and hung it from a branch. The reason for this method is because the larger birds would scoff the lot in about 10 minutes if it was in an open dish or on a tray. They are too heavy to climb down the string and peck at the fat which leaves it for the waxeyes. See the extra.
However - the net is not very ornamental and ultra awkward to get down, clean and refill. Has anyone else in Blip world had a better idea?
This week I get Lesson 5 of my course, which is halfway. I could really do with extra time to practice 'Pacing Oneself', a concept I find hard to take on board. It is so hard to do yet I can see the benefits that would come from pacing my activity throughout the day.
Ah well, until next weekend, take care and keep warm if you are in Winter and cool if in Summer.. I will keep an eye on blip in case anyone has a bright idea for feeding the waxeyes.
