All the World’s a Stage

Shelly and I went to an outdoor production of Chekhov’s “The Seagul” at Maritime Heritage Park. The Idium Theatre was presenting the play. The evening was warm and sunny at the start, quite cold by the end. The troupe did a great job and even were able to incorporate the sound of trains blasting loudly through town. I had been reluctant but Shelly encouraged me to go. And as usual he was right. We had a good time. At the end we chatted with one of my former colleagues from Whatcom Community College who played the farmer’s wife. Since I’ve been going with Shelly I’ve been to more plays and concerts than ever before. It’s so nice to have someone to share culture with.
