Patchwork

Yes, another Begur blip! These tiles adorn the courtyard of a sadly abandoned casa indiana, clearly not as well-loved as this one, just across the road. The pictures probably tell a story, but I don't know what it is. The courtyard was overgrown, the doors filled in with breezeblocks, the gate padlocked, so I had to poke the camera through the railings to take the photo.

This evening we had dinner at El Farolillo (The Lantern). I like this place; everything on the menu is 4 euros, from starters to dessert, in tapas-sized portions, so you just order as much as you think will fill you up. We had five savoury dishes and two sweet ones, including a tart with a biscuit base, white chocolate custard, and lemon jelly topping, which was delicious -- I'll definitely be trying this at home. A bottle of very gluggable local white wine was only 7.50; I'll be trying that again too.

Walking home, it was the first evening we'd felt decidedly chilly ... not freezing, but the temperature must have been in single digits!
