Shropshire Lavender
If you want to see bees and butterflies at Shropshire Lavender it's a little early as apparently the Lavender hasn't quite popped yet so the bees are in waiting and the Buddleias aren't flowering yet, so there weren't the flutterings I usually see when I go there in late July. The only bee I saw is in Extra resting on a nettle also as an Extra is 'Arthur' snoozing in the shop and finding it far to warm to exchange pleasantries.
So as far as bees and butterflies were concerned then my visit was a little disappointing but the Lavender Cream Tea and a pot of Earl Grey enjoyed in the peaceful tea garden was as gorgeous as ever and I'll return in late July.
