Neighbours, cakes and bunting

Our annual street party was a deliberately more relaxed affair this year, which was a bonus considering my last couple of months.

But it was a good time with a good number of people and great weather. I just had to organise and serve hot drinks, do a bit of shopping and borrow all our church’s trestle tables.

Job done. But it’s weird to think that our next event will probably be the annual carol singing, although there was talk today of a film festival in the autumn. Eek.
