Skink

This lizard had been stuck in the house for a bit, so he was used to me when I wanted to snap his photo. Some types of skinks have no legs at all, and so people mistake them for snakes. Unfortunately, there is an old tale that they are poisonous...which they are not. They are harmless and reticent.
