Island times....

Windy this morning so we eventually took a walk with K from the boat at the dock.,.., but the wind died this afternoon so H and I went for a nice row in the double… this eagle was soaring overhead, but I put it in the photo with the kayakers pulled up on a little island nearby.    In Canada, the shore belongs to “the crown” up to the high tide line. ( and the people that own that island have not been seen here for 3 years!)  Rained after we got back!  yea!

We are invited for drinks and dinner on the boat at our dock.,( the Vixen.)  ,.. how lovely for us!  K used to like to cook in our kitchen as her sailboat was so small, but now they have lots of room.   and we’ve just heard that another friend may stop here tonight on the beginning of his sail with a group of boats to Alaska.    But (now 5:15) it's starting to blow hard so who knows how it will be......probably not a good night on a buoy here....

edit:  2nd extra... Dinner with K and P on their VERY bouncy boat in a big wind.   We forget how we don’t miss that! The other sailboater wisely decided to keep going to a more sheltered spot with the group.
