Hollyhocks

One of the things that distinguish this region are the wild hollyhocks that grow along the motorways, outside houses, and in lawns. Most people let them grow and mow round them! In the absence of a trip to the Ile de Ré I passed through a local village where they are allowed to grow and found this old abandoned building with them all growing in the courtyard.
