Beautiful day. Started a little cloudier than we’d hoped but after breakfast we headed down to go on the woodland sculpture walk at Calgary and after coffee and a browse in the gallery we headed down to the beach to walk along and do some beach combing. Didn’t find any of the pottery or sea glass we were hoping for but did find enough grey limpet shells to spell out Mx’s name on the clean sand then send photos to Mt&H.
Drove over to Dervaig to the producers’ market then back towards Croig and did a long circular walk to the beach (beautiful-and deserted) and around the headland to another beach. Although there seemed to be some holiday cottages scattered around we had the place to ourselves -only the sheep for company. Timed our walk back to Am Birlinn restaurant perfectly and had delicious langoustine, pork then pannacotta dinner. Stuffed! Walked back to the car and home to sit and mark up our map of Scottish highland and island trips over the years. Think we’ll be back here again mind you.
Tumbled to bed fairly early again but read some more of the book group book (The Vegetarian-very strange!).
