Today's the day ………………………. to spread your wings

By 'eck it's been warm today - and quite frankly, we're not all that great at handling hot weather round here.

Give us days of cool greyness or chuck record-breaking amounts of rain at us - and we'll come up smiling - united in the face of suffering and hardship.  Give us a dry Mediterranean heat and we'll be hard put to do anything very much except complain that it's too hot.

At least, down by the river, the gulls were carrying on as normal, swooping about above the cool water ………………………...
