Church Cave

After getting some photo's printed in Hersonissos to give to the locals later this week that I photographed, we headed to the mountain village of Avdou, Crete, to revisit the Church in the Cave on the side of a mountain called Agia Fotini

It's a few miles up a dirt track, some of which is a sheer drop, so we drove part of the way and walked the last half mile. The blipfoto shows the view from the cave entrance. The link above shows photo's inside. The best is the view. It's just awesome and I spent some time taking it in again. In it you can see The Aposolemi Dam which is much lower than last year due to the lack of rains.

After a night in enjoying a greek salad on our balcony, it's back to Mochos tonight for a hot meal!
