Day 12: Saudi Arabia v Egypt
This is Koshari, described online as Egypt’s national dish. It is made of rice, pasta, onions, lentils, chickpeas and a spicy tomato sauce. The spice mix used is called Baharat and I put it together using smoked paprika, coriander, cumin, cardamom, cloves , cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper! That wasn’t really a chore as I had them all , but I nearly ran out of pots! I’m glad I won’t be doing the washing up!!
