The Moors are on fire

This is the leading edge of a large moorland fire which is burning between  Greenfield and Tintwistle.  I took a photo at 10:00am ( extra photo) and this one is at 17:00  as is the 2nd extra photo ( wider shot)

Fire Crews had been in attendance long before my photo - some reliable reports that this started yesterday and was thought to be under control until the early hours.

We are all hoping the Fire Service can get it under control but they are having to get a good distance from any access roads.  At least there is water in the reservoirs.
