Blooming marvellous

I've cheated and bought in this spectacular thistle as I could never get them to grow from seed. Looking very appropriate in our dry, sandy garden this evening, after a day baking in the sun. Hardly a cloud in the sky.

PS took this picture after 10pm, in bare feet in the garden. I love the summer!
