Obama Re-elected!

A screen shot of CNN* announcing at 18 minutes past midnight this morning that they were formally projecting that Barack Obama would be re-elected president. At that point the results were clearly going Obama's way, so it certainly didn't come as a surprise, but for us it was nonetheless very welcome (and a relief :) The announcer is Wolf Blitzer, whom I unfortunately captured with his eyes blinking.

*CNN is the Cable News Network. Established in 1980 by Ted Turner, it was "the first channel to provide 24-hour television news coverage, and the first all-news television channel in the United States." (Wikipedia) CNN seems to have been around for an eternity, although it's only a generation. It is now owned by the media giant Time Warner.
