Left-over Leaves

In our neighbors' back yard, distant (21 meters by the file's metadata). I'm not sure what sort of leaves, and the berries seem a bit odd.  But very striking in the morning sun. Our friends Sally and Bob came for lunch; Sally organized Marylee's  50th Reunion at Mount Holyoke College last spring, and scheduled us to lead a bird walk and me to give a presentation of my bird photos. After lunch Bob and I each gave brief shows of our current favorite photos; his specialty is landscape panoramas, and I have been recently doing a few myself from our western trips (a sample from 2006 is here).  They brought along their two lovely dogs, who had the run of our downstairs (more tomorrow, with an extra of them--it's getting late).
