Protest

The powers that be have gone ahead with a decision to build a bypass around Beynac-et-Cazenac. I don’t know the finer details but it is clear that the locals are not happy about it. The three chateau’s that are affected are Beynac-et-Cazenac, Marquesac, and Castelnaud. It is clear they are all in agreement as all 3 are displaying this sign.

Had a lovely morning walking along the river to Castelnaud, a shady walk with lots of river access for Reggie, and then a lovely afternoon in Monpazier, another of our favourite villages, ending with a meal out in Beynac-et-Cazenac.

Many highlights but think the otter swimming in the river this morning is probably the biggest!
