Schiehallion from Beinn Mholach
My cold feet kept me awake in the tent but I couldn't be bothered to debag and don my socks. I dozed through the lightness of the night and once the sun was up, I joined it. A few more snaps of the cairn with the Glencoe and Lochaber peaks looking impressive to the west.
By 5am I was on my way downhill, squinting into the morning orb trying to find the trod I had followed last night. Once again, I disturbed wildlife as I trotted off the hill. Deer scattering in all directions, grouse and Golden Plover dotting about. Their meeuuw call clear in the still morning air with the background of Schiehallion. Over the old bridge, onto the bike by 6am, back to the car by 6.30am, at my desk by 9am.
