Fascinated by nature

What this wasp was doing I will never know (I now know thanks to a great blipper-see comment below).

It was munching away on a pallet, if you look you can see a trench of destruction.

Weird.

I'm sure wasps add something to our ecosystems but I'm not sure what, give me a bee anyday.
