Shetland

TUESDAY

The cruise ship arrived in Lerwick at 6:20 am and we were met by a cool breeze and grey skies.

We headed off on the ferry for a short walk on Bressay which was one of the places we didn't manage to visit last year. Whilst there we checked out the tea rooms and Heritage Centre, chatted with the friendly locals and saw the Shetland ponies pictured.

By the time we arrived back in Lerwick for shopping and lunch the skies had cleared and the sun was shining.

We managed a walk up to Nab Head, passing the house of the tv character DI Jimmy Perez (see extra).

Back on the ship now and heading north this evening.
