Getting There
The works at the St James development continue apace. It's amazing how much has been done in a year with the site being cleared and the re-construction beginning.
I've been amazed by the way things have gone considering how much has been done. There have been street cleaning lorries in circulation constantly, spraying the roads to keep the dust down.
The Picardy Place redevelopment of the roads system also looks to be almost complete, from above the view to the north down Leith Walk looks really good, unfortunately we may have to mention the tram word again and see more disruption to come.
Considering how major the combined works have been the traffic has copied fairly well with the complex diversions. Mind you I'll be glad to see it all back to normal and the buses getting back to some semblance of normality.
Leith Street must be due to reopen soon, as it was closed in early September 2017 for 10 months.
