Schiehallion

I’ve been coming to this location with David for many years but always in the winter. Just before he died I had started the process to swap the timeshare for a summer one. This is the first year that I have used it since his death.

I’ve always loved looking at Schiehallion from the lodge, see the extra. Today HtP and I have climbed it. I read a suggested walk by a man that said that it was suitable for his 5 year old with just a bit of a scrabble at the top. All I can say is that he has a very fit 5 year old as it is a long climb and it’s a very long scramble at the top.

As we walked back down our legs were shaking.

As we approached home we stopped at the end of the loch to capture the evening colours.

The extra are the cow on a rock as we climbed. the view from the top and the mountain in the setting sun.
