Street Portrait #2

This is Genna, a painter from Ottawa, now living in Seattle. I met this delightful woman on the traffic island on Michigan Ave. across from the Art Institute. She was photographing cityscapes, and like me, waiting for the museum to open this morning.

Last night, after the Out of Chicago photography conference concluded, I was planning to visit one of the great Chicago blues clubs. However, I learned that the incomparable organist, Joey DeFrancisco, was appearing at the Jazz Showcase. What a treat! The extra is from last night’s performance. (I hope it’s ok to post an out of date image as an extra).
