The Library

While I was up in Elgin last week, His Lordship imported a complete library into The Dower House; no longer do we eating in the dining room, we eat in the library.
This is a definite improvement from saying we eat in an erstwhile sluice room of Ward 28 (Women's Medical, I've been told) in the old ERI.

His Lordship and I had a sortie in the car this morning to indulge in M&S's Meal for Two offer. What with the low strong sun blinding the driver, and the random temporary lights placed strategically along our route, the excursion could have been a disaster.

Even more so, had we not remembered halfway to the Land of Flowers for a reviving scone that this was their 20% off day and the place would be mobbed by early festive shoppers ( notice how I cunningly avoid the 'C' word ) thereby avoiding another source of disquiet.

There was nothing for it but to drive home sconeless and stow the shopping.
