Saddleworth Moor

Took this pic on the way home from Ashworth Moor above Rochdale.

I filtered it to death to illustrate a point. The smoke today was thick and tasty in Bolton some 35 miles away where I had a meeting at the Macron.

All of Greater Manchester is downwind of the biggest peat BBQ ever and only today are they authorities asking the army for help.

It's baking without being stood on the moors next to a fire, hats off to the guys and gals trying to sort it but for once, we need it to piss it down and quick.

It usually pisses it down all summer here.....the irony!
