Worthing beach

A mixed day of work emotions today. First lots of very lovely congratulations on my promotion, all from people in my teams who appeared genuinely happy. And then the long awaited inspection plan, it had very nearly got so late we thought they might postpone again but no. An entire week of a plan with very terrifying things they want to spend hours and hours looking at. This may well be the shortest position I have ever held.

A nice walk after work though, too many people on the beach for the mental dog to be trusted off her lead so a wander round the pier instead.

Before that, my last ever junior school parents evening, the bliss of plonking yourself in front of one person is now in the past. The beloved Mr Watson was surprising in his assessment that Will works very hard and consciously to improve - these are skills he hides v well at home. Seems to have all paid off though, he has done v well all round. TBMW did then describe Will as a typical bloke when it comes to expressing any type of feeling or emotion which made me laugh. Pleased to see he is consistent at home and school though.

Off now to worry furiously about the next three weeks.
