Gaeltacht 1

Just back from two and a half very hot days in the Gaeltacht, up in the hills near Baile Bhúirne. Himself was released into the wild at Gougane Barra in order to walk the Slí GaeltachtMhúscrai, a 50 km walk ending in Millstreet. I went off amusing myself, exploring and well hunting, and we  met up at the end of each day in Baile Bhúirne where we were staying.

There is so much to discover - clapper bridges, old tower houses, wells, greenways and big rivers.

The Gaeltacht was looking it's best - so colourful. And you don't get a more vibrant colour scheme than this pub. The customers are obviously thirsty types too by the look of it ! See extra for some of the signs - it's very easy to get lost!
