Beautiful Enlgand; Stifling Heat
Where I was, there was no shade, the searing sun too high for the pretty hedgerow to protect me, the normally quite easy walk becoming quite a challenge.
But the fresh bright yellowy green rustling barley fields, the patchwork over the valley below; the sheer English beauty of it all, meant that yes, it was worth the effort.
I say that now, though I didn't always at the time.
I'm on an old farm track/footpath that is not accessible to any vehicle other than Mr Farmer's. And he had the good sense to be indoors! (probably). I saw just one other person - so much for me to enjoy and keep to myself. Except to you now, via Blip, of course.
