What Are They Doing?

The council have been mucking around with this piece of ground, for the last couple of years.

It's very wet, as you can see, even though it hasn't rained much lately.  First of all they cut down most of the trees.  Except the dead one you can see!!

Then they removed all the bulrushes and reeds, and various other plants associated with water.

On the right, they seem to be building another pond.  So, maybe they are just trying to drain this bit of land.

Hopefully, they will put in more plants later.  Or allow the native plants to re-grow.

Today, was cold, cloudy and grey.  With rain to come.
