anchor
Saw this old anchor on the quayside and it made me think.
Anchors are important as they allow boats to remain in place when the tide moves, wind blows and seas rise. For them to be effective they need to be dropped in the right place and have the correct amount of slack on the line. To have a line which is either too tight or too loose could be disasterous. Resiliance is the key and resiliance requires the ability to adapt to circumstances. It combines science and art. The laws of physics and nautical experience.
What is it that anchors you? Is it your family? Your job? Your belief in democracy? Your faith?
It is vital that you check your mooring and ensure that your anchor remains in place when storms hit.
