I had the energising task today of being the chair of a conference for leaders from across the voluntary and social enterprise sectors in Scotland.

Fantastic discussions and insights that I know I'll be reflecting on and mulling over for a while. Organised by the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations (ACOSVO), the theme was about seas of change and "oceans of opportunity." You can imagine how much scope that gave speakers - and me - for seafaring analogies about leadership!

On the way out, I saw this amazing silver decorative tall ship in one of the display cabinets in the City Chambers - the perfect way to capture the day on blip!
