The heat goes on!

As I went outside to water the garden this morning, these poppies grabbed my attention in the sunshine.  They looked like an unruly tousle-headed group who were making a  bold colour statement.I simply stood and gazed at them with a big smile on my face. 
Who would have thought that a packet of seeds simply scattered months earlier would produce such a result. 
 Poppy seeds are like grains of black ground pepper. Infinitely tiny, they grow into things of great beauty. 
A field full of wild poppies in early summer is a sight few people can resist...........myself included. 
They have the ability to stop us in our tracks for awhile.
