Monument & Broch

A brief trip up to Nybster for fresh air and sunshine.  The wall is part of the broch; the structure with a statue on top is reputedly a monument to the broch excavator's nephew, though CANMORE says otherwise.  The statue is of a lad kneeling on one knee, wearing wellies, a gansey, and a cape, and holding a seashell to his ear.  Though from this viewpoint it could be his mobile phone.
