Banff - Vermillion Lakes
The weather was better than forcast today, though not the clear blue skies of yesterday.
The plan was to head to Lake Moraine this morning, which we did only to be told when a few minutes away that it was ‘full’ - by that they meant that the car park was at capacity, ditto for Lake Louise a couple of miles down the road. A helpful officer recommended either arriving at 7am or after 8pm.
Undeterred, we made our way slowly back to Banff via the Bow Valley Parkway stopping off at the the Johnston Canyon and Vermillion Lakes.
We ended the day with a couple of games of pool on Banff Avenue (in extras) - B, Booky and K have obviously had misspent youths as they are all great players; I need a lot of coaching which they are really generous with (and patient) - they may well corrupt me yet!
