Winter - who cares I'm flowering!

Lovely sunny winter's day - perfect for gardening and enjoying the warm sun, but chilly in the shade.

I'll be pruning the roses soon ready for next spring, but it's always encouraging to see the final act of defiance as a few final roses come into bloom in winter. This rose called 'freesia' was bold and brave - we've had frosts the past few nights.
