Elysium

A gentle wander through the hole in the wall today in a cooler part of the day, we sat on a log a whiles and just listened to the meadow murmuring.

Then trip to visit T, a man for whom the phrase 'young at heart' was coined. But a week ago T was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He'd been in agony for a few weeks and in hospital for tests, but it was still news that's left us all shell-shocked. T had the weekend to consider options but today he bravely started an intensive course of chemotherapy. The coming weeks and months will be really tough but he's a much loved man and will have lots and lots of support. This afternoon he simply looked shattered but I hope we raised a smile for him, positivity and love will be just as important as doctors and drugs. Fortunately he has lots of both.
